Lee Ezell was one of the speakers at the Ladies Day today. She was GREAT! Loved her so much. She is a phenominal speaker and I will go listen to her speak whenever I am given an opportunity. I also plan to go out and get her book 'Finding God When Life's Not Fair.' Her comedy and her spirit really made her message hit home for me. In the last session of the day she spoke about how bad things happen to 'good' people and sometimes we are left to question the reasons why. She posed the question 'what is fair anyway?' While she was closing and by the time she was done with her prayer I had tears streaming down my face. Since we lost our little Faith I have questioned a lot of things. Things we will never know answers to. And I figure that if she can come through the things she did and be joyful (as explained in the message about the Fruits of the Spirits by Elisa Morgan earlier in the day) then who am I that with God's help I can't do the same. She closed the prayer with the statement - 'His grace is sufficient for you.' I really needed that. We serve a God who is full of grace and mercy. I feel like by handing God the leftover questions I have regarding our losses and Faith that I am in a better place to move beyond it. I left this Ladies Day feeling like I am emotionally ready for this new chapter that is about to begin in our lives. No matter what happens God has our lives in his control. He is not surprised by anything. I have been sent a gentle reminder of that today.

I really enjoyed her speaking also. She left me with some great thoughts as well and seemed to be speaking right to me at times. Isn't God wonderful to put this lady in our paths at this time to hear something that we both needed to hear, even if it was different for each one of us. By the way, you rock at getting stuff on your blog. I am amazed - loved the Mater blanket. Have a good week and see you soon.
That sounds like it was an amazing day, and that book you mentioned sounds like one to check out.
