I was tagged a while back to tell the story of how Dean and I met.

Yes that is really us. Man it seems like forever ago. Dean and I met Feburary 2001, two days before Valentines Day. I worked with a girl that he knew from college. I was a senior in high school and he was a sophomore in college. My first ever blind date...and voila ....my last blind date ever! We played pool at a local pool hall and then went to the Texan for food afterwards. I broke curfew for the first time that night!

Two days later Dean called me...on Valentines day. I got off the phone and I distinctively remember my mom saying to me "Don't think you are going to date that guy". Well he came to the house on Friday for our first date and the rest is history. Sorry mom...I didn't just date him...I married him! But Dean impressed them fairly quickly because of how much he cared about family and respected them.

We got engaged in August of 2002. This pic was taken shortly after that time. Dean took me to a park and we were walking and talking. He pulled out a Bride beanie baby and my ring was up on the arm and he proposed. We went back to my house and didn't say anything right away to my parents. My mom noticed the ring right away and she wanted to know all of the details.

Dean and I were married a year later on November 1, 2003. It was a great day. We had great weather. Then right before we left the reception hall it started downporing! All I remember is getting to the hotel and realizing I did not eat enough food. I was starving...so we ate some extra wedding cake and Dean raded the vending machine. We spent a week in Gaylord for our honeymoon and when we returned our life as a married couple was in full swing!

I can't believe it has been almost five years. I can honestly say that I love Dean more today than when we first met. Deeper and stronger - a love that will last our lifetime through.
